One of the most moving weddings of the past year had only four participants: the minister, the bride and groom, and their lovely dog Barkley. Sarah and Brent’s intimate ceremony in the backyard of their Cambridge home may have been super-small, but it contained oceans of love and devotion. It was a privilege to be present to witness their joy!

Here’s a glimpse of Nina & Charlie’s sweet Boston Harbor Hotel wedding (with a ceremony at Boston College – go Eagles)! Charlie is a professional soccer player (how cool is that?), so the wedding was held on a Friday evening to accommodate the busy game schedules of many of the groomsmen and guests.

It was a lovely, warm evening — cocktails on the waterfront, then dinner in the airy ballroom as the sunset filtered over the harbor. A notable design element was Nina’s choice of clear “Ghost” chairs for seating…an inspired modern touch amid the classic setting.

Many thanks to my fabulous event “teammates” — Francie Dorman of Tangorra Planning, Boston Wedding Films, DJ Greg Gates, and Spruce Floral.

Whitney and Adam’s autumn wedding at the Boston Public Library was intimate, chic, full of lush details and stacks of vintage books. Heaven! Special kudos to Whitney’s wonderful mom Jamie, who hand-crafted the lovely book-paper flowers adorning the bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces.

So fun to discover a hidden gem of a venue! I’ve been photographing weddings for 8 years, but I’d never heard of The MIT Endicott House in Dedham. The estate is replete with lush gardens and romantic nooks — there’s even an Alice in Wonderland tea table tucked away in the woods.

In this storybook setting, Heather and Allan’s centerpieces cast a spell — the floating arrangements suspended from the ceiling gave the reception room an airy and ethereal atmosphere. Heather & Allan filled their day with charming personal touches: cupcakes baked by a dear friend, Heather’s elegant wedding dress handmade by her mom, and gorgeous vocal performances by talented guests.
